Getting help

I'm back in counseling. I think it will help more this time, since I have a better understanding of the specific challenges I face. Wish me luck.

Babytears will be here for you....

Dear Sue,

I replied to your comment on Susan Laura's story, but not sure if you will find it so I copy it onto your blog as well. Look forward to connecting with you when ever you wish. With respect and love: Babytears

Dearest Sue,

I'll be your 'female friend' for as long as you like. You are so not alone here and I'll be here for you. May I also suggest that it may not be helpful to you to share such personal information with colleagues and co-workers. Its not that you will scare them away, its more about you getting the right people to listen to you and and for you to get the right support. Opening yourself up will leave you very vulnerable. Also expecting others to understand you may result to disappointment which will only reinforce your belief that you need to keep things to your self only. Its about knowing who to open up to and getting their agreement also. Trust me, I've been there. Everyone has issues and they (your colleagues) may mix up their issues with yours and it will all get needlessly complicated & messy. I do not know if I am making any sense here. Clearly you need someone who will listen to you in a supportive and unbiased way. So I am here for you also as an abused adoptee. Please feel free to email me at: babytears1973@yahoo.co.uk

By the way you can read my story as well under 'babytears'.

I look forward to connecting with you.

Extending all my love and good thoughts your way.
